Details about Sponsored Chairs
PresenTense is able to provide some of its scholarships through generous donations from organizations who seek a specific type of venture. For example a venture in the field of education or tech.
After January 1, 2010 PresenTense will only be considering applications that fall under these specific sponsored chairs. All general applications before January 1, 2010 will still be considered.

Details about the Fellowship
1. Time Committment: The Summer Institute is a 6-week long program, from June 10 - July 24, 2010. Fellows will be expected to attend all skill-building, training seminars, and networking programs. In addition, fellows are expected to work on their ventures for a significant amount of time each week with their mentors, peers, and on their own.
2. Number of Fellows: The Summer Institute accepts 16 fellows.
3. Curriculum: The PresenTense Summer Institute is a unique training program for Jewish social entrepreneurs built by entrepreneurs with the needs of entrepreneurs in mind. A number of training modules intertwine to provide the innovator with the web of resources, skills and opportunities needed for their venture's success: fellows are taught core skills, their complement of business tools are refined by practicioners in the field, they are mentored by leaders in their field, coached by professionals, connected in workshops with peers, and showcased to the greater community in a Launch Night where fellows present their ventures to a community of potential supporters and partners.
4. Trainers, Mentors, and Teachers: The PresenTense Summer Institute will draw from the incredibly knowledgeable and experienced Jerusalem community to present you with speakers, mentors and teachers who are committed to growing an innovative capacity among young adults, and who believe in an advanced vision for the Jewish people.
5. Cost: The PresenTense Summer Institute is a scholarship-supported program; admitted fellows participate at no cost and have their tuition covered for the course of the six weeks. Travel expenses are not included in the scholarship.
Application Process
Track Specific applications are available online and are due February 15, 2010. Selected applicants will submit an essay soon after. Finalists will be interviewed in the beginning of March, 2010 and will be notified in the middle of March. Orientation begins June 10, 2010.
