Avi Bass

PresenTense gave me vital tools(sessions on fundraising, building partnerships, proposal and grant writing), introduced me to people that would help me take my concept to the next level (Marty Davis at the WZO eventually was a driving force in building our funding base for our inaugural trip to Israel), and a support network of Jewish social entrepreneurs, who were approaching many of the same challenges that I was, even if their projects were completely different.  But most importantly, PresenTense taught me that if you have faith, and keep working at it, it will happen.

כישראלי, אני לא נתקל הרבה פעמים ביוזמות חברתיות אמיתיות, הרוצות באמת להעצים את המשתתפים שלהם. פה בפרזנטנס, קיבלתי כלים ותמיכה שאפשרו לי לחלום ולפתח את הפרוייקט שהקמתי. כאדם אשר השתתף בהרבה תוכניות לפיתוח מנהיגות, בפרזנטס הצוות ממש נותן את הנשמה. ההבדל המשמעותי הנוסף הוא הקהילה התומכת/יוצרת. להיות מוקף ביזמים צעירים מכל רחבי העולם, אשר עובדים יחד, בשיתוף פעולה מלא, בכדי למצות את הפוטנציאל של כל משתתף, הפך את החוויה הזו למעצימה עוד יותר.
אני הרווחתי לא רק כלים שאוכל להשתמש בהם בעתיד, תמיכה וייעוץ במיזם שלי, אלא גם קהילת עמיתים אשר אני עדיין בקשר איתם, המבוססת על חברות, אמונה משותפת, וכן, אפילו אהבה למדינה, לחברה ולעם שלנו.
פרנזטס הוא ארגון ללא ציניות, עם "תמימות" והתלהבות אשר מאפיינת את דור המייסדים של המדינה שלנו. הארגון הוקם על ידי יזמים צעירים, עבור יזמים צעירים אחרים, לטובת עתיד טוב יותר, עם דגש על עשייה ותמיכה

Without the PresenTense Institute I would never be where I am today.  PresenTense exposed me to the current reality of 2.0 web technology, equipped me with the basic skills and tools needed to become a guerilla marketer and program manager, and exposed me to the PresenTense community - an environment packed full of innovative, creative, and driven individuals.  I have used every single piece of information and technology that I was exposed to through PresenTense.  My experience at the PresenTense Institute helped steer me to where I am today - The Admission Director and Marketing Coordinator of the Soafer International MBA Program at Tel Aviv University.
